Thanksgiving 2011

Mark and I alternate spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with his side of the family and mine (or the majority of each holiday at least).  This Thanksgiving it was the year for Mark's side of the family and we had the pleasure of having them over to our house this time!  His sister's family lives out of state and his younger brother David was in Korea at the time teaching, but we had his parents and his brother Matt's family over.

Here is a picture of the kids' table.  Lincoln really wanted to pose there with one of his Buzz Lightyears...

A closer shot of my cutie.

A shot of the placecards I made and the chocolate turkeys that Mont and Mary brought (a tradition from Mont's mother).

Centerpiece on the adult table.

Mark cooked the turkey differently this year.  He read about cooking it already pieced out...it cooks faster and some of the kids loved getting their own giant turkey leg too.

Zach, Jake, Lincoln, Spencer, Noah, and Ava.  (Somehow we didn't get a picture of the adult table...but Matt, Janelle, Mont, Mary, Mark, and I sat at the table next to this one)

I had to include this one so you could see those turkey legs!

Max hung out for quite a while in the excersaucer...

And I had to include this cute shot of Lincoln that Mont took.  This was right before Linc got his glasses, and while he looks cute with his glasses it's also so nice to be able to see more of that cute face.
We had a nice Thanksgiving meal and then followed it up (after dessert of course) with a tradition from Matt and Janelle's family...we went to a movie!

I have much to be thankful for - at Thanksgiving time and all year long.  At the top of that list is the wonderful family that I've been blessed with.  I am so grateful for each of them.  What better way to celebrate that than to spend time together feasting!  Happy day.
