10 Months (& 10 days) Old!

Well, I am finally getting around to Lincoln's 10 month post (even though we're 1/3 way through his next month now!) - yikes. Anyhoo...the photographer that we hired to do his 10 month photos stood us up (as I thoroughly mentioned in a previous post), so I did my own little photo shoot a few days ago. I'm sure that I could've payed more attention to detail, but I just ploppped him down in the front yard and snapped a bunch of pictures while Noah was sleeping. It was actually pretty fun. It'll be so fun someday to be able to get my own DSLR and take a few classes or workshops. Anyhow, here's one of my favorites from our "session" and I'll include some more at the end of this post...

When Linc was weighed on his "10 month birthday" he was 25 pounds & 8 ounces, which even though that's big - it's only 1/2 pound heavier than the previous month. So, I believe that we're hitting that plateau! Here's our sweet pea sleeping in our swing in the backyard. He pretty much takes his nap when & where he can get it.

Lincoln is starting to like "walking" while holding onto our hands, but not for long usually...then he just wants to get down and crawl around on his own.

He is so ticklish, and I just looove his squeal when he laughs.

Lincoln absolutely loves bath time, but don't ever expect to stay dry if you're the one bathing him - he goes NUTS splashing, and he thinks he's pretty funny too.

One of the few toys that Lincoln seems to show a clear preference for are cars. He loves cars! In fact, every day he crawls over to Noah's desk and pulls out this drawer of cars and plays with them. He even knows how to make the pull-back cars drive, and seems quite proud of himself when he watches them go...

And...it has begun. Lincoln can now pull himself up (unassisted) on furniture. And, although he's already taken a couple of tumbles (he bruised his chin today), he's starting to be able to get into sooo much more all of the sudden. It's so fun & rewarding to watch his excitement as he begins to master a new skill, and explore new things...but I'm also a bit apprehensive about things too, since I'm pretty sure that life is about to get a whole lot busier!

Well, here are a half dozen more photos from our little photo shoot. It was hard to not include a picture of every cute little expression, and every angle of our precious little guy...but I did narrow it down to these few. One thing that I should mention is that Lincoln has a head of curls in the back, and just one curl on his left side (the right when you're looking at him). I don't know if the curls will always be there or if they'll be gone after his first haircut, so I thought that I'd better at least mention them! (You can kinda see the one on the side in some of the pictures) I'll try to include a shot of the back of his head with his 11 month post :)

Enjoy!

Holly, he is so cute! I can't believe how much he looks like Mark! we miss you guys!
Just so you know...Thomas' curls started with just a little flip out on the sides too, followed by the back...5 or so hair cuts later and he's still got them (even more than before!)

Holly, I love these! What a handsome little guy he is, and these pictures are darling. Great job for doing them even after all that hassle you went through with that frustrating photographer! You do have a great eye for this, though, and I love the pictures of Lincoln!

Nice job with those pictures, holy cow! Who needs a "pro" when you can do shots like that? (-: Keep up the good work. I'm excited to see your guys' pictures from your California trip in a couple weeks!

You did a great job with your photo shoot. I still think you should post something on KSL stating not to use that person. I love the pic of Mark tickling Lincoln's neck. He has a cute expression.
